Doc Let Beach

1. Overview Doc Let (also known as Doc Let Beach) is located in Ninh Hai Ward, Ninh Hoa Town, about 50km north of Nha Trang. The name "Doc Let" comes from the past when visitors had to overcome high sand dunes to reach the sea, leaving their legs so tired they had to "drag" (let) them. Today, although access is easier, the name remains linked to a pristine, gentle, and incredibly charming beach.

2. Natural Beauty

• Beach & White Sand: The specialty of Doc Let is its pure white sand, smooth as silk. The water is very shallow, clear to the bottom, and the waves are extremely gentle, making it safe for both the elderly and children.
• Mountains & Islands: Looking out from the shore, you'll see small islands undulating around, forming a wind-shielded bay, as peaceful as a mirror.
• Green Casuarina Forest: Running along the sand are shady casuarina trees, creating an ideal resting space right by the water's edge.
• Sunrise & Sunset: Sunrise at Doc Let is considered one of the most beautiful experiences in Khanh Hoa as the sun emerges, gilding the pristine white sand.

3. Popular Activities: Swimming, water sports (jet ski, parasailing, kayaking), enjoying fresh seafood at the local market, visiting fishing villages and Hon Khoi salt fields, or camping overnight on the sand. 

4. Best Time to Visit: From January to September (calm sea, clear blue water, sunny weather). 

5. How to Get There: About 1 - 1.25 hours by motorbike/car via Highway 1A or the scenic coastal road, or by the affordable Nha Trang – Ninh Hoa bus. 

6. Practical Tips: Arrive early for the sunrise and fresh seafood catch; use sunblock due to high reflection from the white sand; bring water/snacks; and rent a hut under the casuarina trees for a comfortable group stay.
